Last March, I had the pleasure of attending StyleCon, an annual gathering for men’s brands, bloggers, and style enthusiasts alike in Atlanta, Georgia.

During StyleCon 2015, I was fortunate to meet Andrew Snavely of Primer Magazine and we got to talking about the different fit issues that many men encounter.

The overriding theme of our conversation seemed to be that practically everyone has a difficult time finding clothes that fit perfectly off the rack.

While I was describing my struggle to find the perfect jeans to accommodate big thighs and a small waist, Andrew was taking mental notes and recently asked me to write an article for Primer Magazine on the subject.  I was more than happy to oblige!

    I completely agree with the stretchy denim. I got a pair as an early christmas gift and was surprised to be able to squat fully without any issue in a pair of jeans that LOOKED tight! If I get jeans from now on, it will likely be the stretchy kind now.

    Yeah… this is one of the big problems I’ve had over the years with jeans fitting right!

    I recently bulked to 200 lbs over the summer and tried to put on my jeans a few months later. No go…

    Thankfully, my two go-to pairs fit again now that I’ve cut some weight and stopped squatting so frequently.

    Thanks for the post. I’ll definitely keep this in mind if I decide to gain weight and up my squatting again.
